Why Emergency Medicine:
The fast-paced environment and the opportunity to help people and their pets when they need it most are both a big draw for me. I love that every day is different and you never know what to expect!
Get to know me
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be:
The ability to fly – I could get places quickly with no traffic, and have fun on the way!
What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
Traveling, reading a good book, and spending time with my husband, son, and pets.
What has been the most rewarding part of your career/position?
I think most of us got into this field because we want to treat sick pets and make them feel better, but something I didn’t expect was how much I would enjoy seeing my team members grow and all the amazing work they do! I also find a lot of fulfillment in keeping people and their pets together in the hospital, involving them in their pet’s care, and providing the kind of experience I would want as a customer if my pet was sick.
The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is:
Surround yourself with good people.
