Kate Sullenberger

Education:
I graduated from Oregon State University Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine

Why Emergency Medicine:
I love the variety I get to see, the challenge of seeing new things every day, and constantly learning and improving my skills! Plus I have always been a night owl.

Get to know me

If I were a superhero, my superpower would be:
Flying! I love to travel and see new things, and being able to fly anywhere anytime for free would be perfect!

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working:
I love the beach and beautiful hikes in new places, as well as going out to eat at new restaurants and trying new food!

What has been the most rewarding part of your career/position?
It has been fun watching me grow from a new doctor to an experienced one who now is teaching others how to be great ER docs! I had never even touched many exotic animals before working at the San Ramon, CA hospital, and now I see many every shift. I love growing to meet these new challenges.

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is:
Do everything with integrity. You have to live with your own decisions, so make ones that agree with your morals and you won’t have to question anything.
