Why Emergency Medicine:
Emergency medicine has been truly rewarding for me: It is tough work, but the reward is exponential… I get to do a little bit of everything – from surgery, to endoscopy, to medicine cases.  You also get to create special bonds with the people that you work alongside (in a very short time!) The sense of accomplishment you get from working in this field is incomparable. The sense of “organized chaos” is what I love – the fast pace, multitasking and efficiency.

Get to know me

If I were a superhero, my superpower would be:
Never getting sick…. :) Kind of like Wolverine maybe? The ability to heal and recover quick…. ;)

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working:
Spending time with my family – cooking and sharing a great meal… also going for runs in new places I have never been, especially when I get to see the ocean….

What has been the most rewarding part of your career/position?
Seeing the humanity and connection that Veg allows with their open floor concept….Witnessing the pureness of my children being around mourning pet parents and seeing them be that bright shining star on the saddest days of loss. Receiving gratitude from those pet parents – I will never forget this feeling of my heart becoming just a little bit bigger in that moment.

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is:
Treat life like a marathon, not a sprint… it’s never too late to be more… do more – don’t put a limit on yourself and always do that thing that you think you can’t do – you won’t regret it.
