ABOUT VEG

In 2014, VEG was born with a mission to help people and their pets when they need it most. This meant challenging the status quo and fixing everything that was wrong with the ER experience. Since then, we’ve expanded rapidly, with hospitals nationwide open 24/7, 365 days a year, and created a better emergency experience—not only for people and their pets, but also for everyone who works here—our VEGgies!

At VEG we find a way to say yes to the career you want in veterinary emergency medicine. This means transforming how ER works, from our open-concept hospitals, where you can handle emergency cases of every kind (even exotics!) to our immersive, customer-focused experience, which helps us give people and their pets the care they deserve.

THE JOB

Have a love and passion for ER? Join the VEG Ambassador program! We’re looking for students who believe in our mission, want to make an impact in emergency veterinary medicine, and are looking to build a community on their campus. As an ambassador, you’ll serve as our liaison to students and faculty, help create exciting and immersive learning opportunities, and plan social events—plus unlock numerous opportunities here at VEG.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Spread the VEGolution on campus
• Act as a liaison between VEG and the student body
• Help with planning VEG-related events on campus, such as lunch lectures, dinner presentations, happy hours, career fairs, and sponsorship opportunities.
• Schedule rooms, advertise events, and manage catering as needed
• Use branded promo items and wear VEG swag for all to see
• Be a source of knowledge for your peers about VEG student opportunities
• Keep your VEG manager updated on any on-campus sponsorship opportunities and campus trends

WHAT YOU NEED

• Full-time student at any AVMA accredited veterinary school
• Current 1st or 2nd year student
• A passion for emergency medicine
• A willingness to understand and promote VEG’s unique hospital experience and culture
• Patience, empathy, and organizational skills
• A positive and upbeat attitude and the flexibility to think outside the box and adapt and pivot as needed
• Ability to create content and post on personal social media
• The passion to develop and grow!
