We arrived at VEG last Saturday after a terrifying incident with our kitten. He ingested what we think was a chemical that wasn’t washed properly out of the sink. We found our 7 month old hot, lethargic, and gurgling. He would barely stand. After horrible treatment from our own vet, we turned to UrgentVet who helped us figure out what he may have been exposed to, made sure he was comfortable and stable. They communicated with VEG for our baby to stay overnight to be treated. They were ready for us when we arrived at VEG, they already knew what was going on and quickly got to work examining him immediately, when we voiced he hasn’t been around dogs and might be scared, they moved us instantly to a private room. The vet came in quickly and went over her plan of treatment, they began setting up the room for us to stay in overnight with our kitty. VEG not only allowed us to stay, be a part of his care, but they accommodated my husband overnight very kindly. He had snacks, a shower, a bed, etc available to him. I couldn’t stay due to my dog allergy, but the peace of mind knowing our little guy wasn’t alone in a cage was what I needed after such a traumatic scare. I returned the next morning to hear nothing but praise and rave reviews from the treatment not only our sweet kitty received all night, but the staff was kind and attentive to my husband too. My husband can ramble when he’s tired, which I watched him do a few times to the staff about our cat- they all were so kind and personable. Our baby was treated and well cared for. He’s been home for five days and has been continuing to improve with the instructions and medicines given. I love knowing we can call VEG anytime with a concern if we need to. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone I know. Thank you so much to everyone who works at VEG, and especially to the team that helped our sweet little Gizmo.

I had an amazing experience at this urgent care vet. My dog, Roman, had not been doing well—he wasn’t eating, was vomiting bile, and had severe diarrhea. I decided to take him in for urgent care, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment we walked in, I could tell this wasn’t a typical emergency vet. The open-concept setup made the environment feel welcoming and less stressful. Instead of a standard reception desk, you can sit wherever you like with your pet, and they even offer amenities like fizzy water, snacks, hot chocolate, and pet beds for your dog to rest on. The staff was incredibly kind, thorough, and attentive. Even though they were a bit slow due to the number of pets needing care, I appreciated how much time they spent with each patient. I had to leave Roman there for IV fluids, and I felt reassured knowing he was being cared for by such compassionate nurses and staff. One of the things that stood out most was how the vet took the time to sit on the floor with me and Roman, explaining everything in detail. The discharge instructions and prescriptions were well-explained, making it easy to continue his care at home. Overall, despite a stressful situation, this clinic provided top-tier care and comfort for both me and my pup. Roman is on the road to recovery, from pancreatitis, and I’m grateful for the wonderful team who took such great care of him. Highly recommend!

Starting with our frantic call to the vet, the staff’s calm demeanor immediately put us at ease. As we arrived, one of the techs was there at the door, ready to open it for us. The open format of the office made us feel very included in the care of our dog. We were impressed with the staff’s interpersonal skills with both patients and each other. The level of knowledge and confidence was very reassuring during that traumatic event. The administrative staff was even very engaging and friendly while we were waiting for an operating table to be setup. We are also very grateful for the military/first responder discount they offered. Chris and Lyra worked so well together caring for Wrigley. They kept us very calm with their confident and energetic personalities. They allowed us to be very hands on with the care of Wrigley, which was very comforting.
