We’ve had two emergencies with our OE bulldog Athena in the last 4 months. The first was a seizure that stopped after 30 seconds but then started to have continuous focal seizures and was causing her to over heat and lose control of her bowels, she was definitely critical and we had to mentally prepare ourselves that we could be leaving without her, but thank God and these wonderful doctors who worked a miracle because we got to leave without our baby. The second was picking her up from the groomers recently and upon arrival we realized her tongue was turning purple and she couldn’t breathe, thankful we weren’t far from VEG and rushed right over, but again had to mentally prepare ourselves because she was overheating and her airway was swollen from the excessive panting. They were able to stabilize her, bring her temperature and thankfully she no organ damage. Thank you again for all you do and saving our Athena girl twice!

I really can’t recommend VEG enough. I’ve had some pretty bad experiences in emergency Veterinarian room situations, they are never pleasant, but The staff at VEG In Boca Raton, Florida across the board was compassionate quick to serve patient and kind. I am dealing with a dog that has a very advanced nasal cancer. The symptoms In the beginning are very subtle and then the tumor comes on aggressively so we weren’t prepared for this Visual diagnosis. Dr. McVey Sat with me in a room for what seemed like hours, deciding what I should do. I ended up taking my baby home as she was not at all ready to give up the fight with a tail wag and a chipper walk out to the car. I made the right decision. We have had the best two weeks just spending time, We got to spend Easter with her and many sunsets. Long slow walks in the evening.and yes we are working through her symptoms that are sometimes unpleasant, but her quality of life is still very good, she’s hungry and she is in the game wanting to participate in everything. Until she is ready, we will Continue. The VEG has let me know that they are there 24 seven anytime I need their help which gives me the courage to continue. Their office is clean open, and you get to stay with your baby and hold them throughout the process. That meant everything to me to be there with her to help make whatever decision has to be made. I would say if you are in the south Florida area do not go anywhere else but VEG And your pets time of need.
