Sometimes it’s obvious when your pet needs immediate help. But sometimes they just seem “off.” That’s where our emergency vets in Chicago come in. From vomiting to complex surgeries, we treat emergency and urgent care needs for all kinds of pets—even avians and exotics! Discover the VEG difference, with our open floor plan hospitals, pet-parent participation, and an emergency-focused team that’s always ready to expect the unexpected.
Our South Loop, Chicago pet emergency hospital is located near the intersection of S Clinton St. and W Grenshaw St. We’re just east of the University of Illinois Chicago and within minutes of Bridgeport, Dearborn Park, Hyde Park, and West Loop.
Parking for VEG South Loop is in our parking lot, with additional parking in the garage across the street. If you need assistance getting your pet into the hospital, call ahead—one of our VEGgies will meet you at the door. Your pet will receive urgent vet care and you never have to leave their side.
VEG South Loop is a VEG Blood Bank location, which provides blood for canines. These donations help save the lives of dogs in need of transfusions. The blood we store can be available to a VEG hospital or shared with a local veterinarian. It’s one more way VEG can give back to the Chicago community. You can help by signing up your dog to be a blood donor. Find out more or ask one of our VEGgies about the VEG Blood Bank.
