Dr. Sarah Jacobs
Medical Director
University of California, Davis; Rice University
Originally from California, Dr. Sarah Jacobs earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of California, Davis, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Rice University in Texas. After veterinary school, she began her career in general practice in Manhattan, where she honed her clinical skills and developed a deep appreciation for the human-animal bond.
Dr. Jacobs later transitioned into emergency medicine in New York City, where she found her passion for fast-paced, high-impact veterinary care. Drawn to a team-oriented culture and a mission that puts pets and people first, Dr. Jacobs joined VEG. She has worked at VEG in Clifton, NJ, helped open VEG H Street in Washington, DC, and has been part of the Falls Church team since its launch—where she now serves as Medical Director.
What Dr. Jacobs loves most about working at VEG is the opportunity to support both her team and the community during their most critical moments, all while helping to shape a new standard in emergency veterinary care.
