VEG Emergency Vet in Grand Prairie, Texas

!The best place I have ever been when having to deal with an emergency for one of my animals. Dr. Zeto and her team today were so caring and amazing. It'd a hard when dealing with a sick animal it's harder when the news comes that there is not much you can do for that sick animal and it will so be time to say good bye. These people were so care and understanding. I can't thank them enough and I am so happy they are there 24/7 for out pets.

I had to take my sweet baby Cora here because she was having trouble breathing. They immediately checked her out and put her in the oxygen tank to help ease her breathing. The doctor and staff were both friendly and compassionate as I had a tough decision to make for my girl. They were private as they told me the costs and were able to work within my budget and while I was not able to leave with my baby girl alive they made us feel comfortable and gave me a safe space to grieve. I am forever thankful for the compassion this team showed me on this day and the care Cora received in her final moments.

This is a very overdue review for this amazing staff and facility. I had to bring two of my dogs here on separate occasions. One morning about 5 am, I woke up to our sweet girl Elvira panting heavily and unable to stand or walk. My husband scooped her up and rushed her to VEG. She died in his arms and the staff rushed out to him and began CPR on her. They brought her back and did an ultrasound and discovered she had hemangiosarcoma. We were informed this is not something that is typically found until it is too late and most likely her spleen had ruptured. Unfortunately there was nothing that could be done to save our baby. Dr. Smith came in after she passed and explained everything to us. We were given as much time as we needed in a room with our girl and one of the staff came in and spent so much time getting us the perfect nose and paw prints. I am so sorry I do not remember if this was Ashely, Mak, Nita, or Kenzie but she truly was an angel. Every person who helped us that night was just so compassionate and truly amazing. For being an emergency vet they are reasonably priced and honestly not anymore than what my normal vet would be charging. We opted to take our girl home and use a cremation service that comes to our home to pick up our baby and bring her ashes back to us. This was such a devastating and unexpected loss and they did everything they could and I will forever be grateful for VEG and the amazing staff. Thank you
