I can’t say enough good things about Veterinary Emergency Group. From the moment I walked in with my dog Mando, I was treated like a VIP. The entire experience was thoughtful, compassionate, and incredibly professional. The staff was not only sweet and friendly, but genuinely gentle and caring—with both me and Mando. They clearly love what they do, and it shows in every interaction. They had no problem letting me stay with him, even overnight, and made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable. From cozy accommodations to little thoughtful touches, they went above and beyond to make a stressful situation feel manageable. One of the things I appreciated most was how experienced and calm the staff was. You could tell they really knew what they were doing, and they made sure to keep me informed every step of the way. They even let me help hold Mando during some of the treatments, which made me feel included and reassured that he was in good hands. They checked on us frequently, and not just as part of a routine—it felt like they genuinely cared about how both of us were doing. That level of attentiveness made a huge difference. And bonus: the location is super convenient, with a Cheesecake Factory and Starbucks nearby—which came in handy during a very long night! It’s rare to find a place that combines skill, heart, and hospitality so seamlessly. Thank you, VEG team, for taking such great care of Mando and making sure I felt supported every step of the way. The experience we had here today is by far the best care we’ve received for a pet for an emergency visit, or even primary veterinary care. Our dog is deaf and the staff went out of their way to try signing with her and making her comfortable. The staff was communicative and personable every step of the way. They offered us water and snacks - it was a long emotional day and that extra care for us, the humans, made a huge difference for our state of mind and overall well being. We will drive 45 minutes out of the way to come back, every time.

VEG ER in Overland Park provided amazing urgent care for our dog. From the moment we walked in the door we, and our pet, were treated like it was a concierge service - immediate triage (they were heading toward the door as we were walking in), then detailed history and exam in a private treatment room, and it all happened within a reasonable amount of time. The Vet Tech and Vet we dealt with were both amazing - professional, explained everything clearly, asked and confirmed, more than once, whether our questions were answered. We liked them, and we felt like we and our dog mattered. Highly recommend!!
