VEG Emergency Vet in Winter Park, Florida

I can’t tell you what a nice experience this was! Dr. Lawrence, Versace and the whole team were so fast, efficient and kind. The facility is clean and so many thoughtful touches! Best of all- had our very scared baby cat (Hobbes) back to himself within the night. I watched so many scared pet parents walk in and be treated quickly and with care - just lovely! We stayed overnight for fluids and I was able to stay in the room with him, got in a few cat naps and never had to leave my kitty scared and alone! They set up a private kennel in a quiet room, where I could open and pet or let him sleep. Great for the 7+ hours of fluids he needed.

I would give VEG Winter Park a million stars if I could. I cannot even begin to express the kindness we were surrounded by the second we walked through the doors. Our kitty was in heart failure and was having trouble breathing. She'd been at our vet all day getting oxygen therapy. They suggested we transfer her to VEG for the night so she could get the intense care she needed. From the moment we walked in they rushed to triage her and explained the open concept to us. We got to stay with her the whole time. They got her set up in an oxygen chamber and went over the invoice with us. They said they love giving refunds, and I can attest they refunded nearly half the amount we paid upfront once we were discharged. They got a room set up for us so we could stay the night there to be close to her, even though we lived less than 10 minutes away. Every person on the staff we interacted with was outstanding. The night staff in particular on March 24th into March 25th were so wonderful. They helped us feel less stressed and explained medical jargon in an easy to understand way. Some highlights of our time at VEG included: - Watching the staff care for a baby squirrel brought in by a good Samaritan. - Watching the staff care for a chicken that had been brought in with a broken neck. - Getting to hold her while they administered care. - At 6am, we woke up to a nurse bringing Zilla into our room, which was the first time she was let out of the oxygen chamber and was breathing regular air. The best wake up call was seeing how much better she was doing and getting to hold her after almost a full 24 hours in emergency care. - Dr. Martinez, Dr. Rodgers, Dr. Adams were so incredible. Nurses Becca and Jodie were absolutely outstanding. This was my first time ever being in an emergency situation with a pet. After experiencing the outstanding care VEG provides, I cannot imagine experiencing an emergency with a pet any other way. They know you want to be with your pet and allow you to be there every step of the way. 1,000,000% recommend VEG if you or a loved one is ever experiencing an emergency with a pet.

Recently, I took my cat to visit VEG Winter Park for a leg injury. The staff provided exceptional care for my sweet girl. They were exceptionally kind and patient with her, thoroughly examining her while ensuring our comfort during the wait for x-ray results. Dr. Martinez provided comprehensive and detailed explanations, ensuring my understanding of the situation. Sarahbeth kept me informed of every step of the process while also taking excellent care of my cat during each phase of her exam. I was highly impressed by the team’s professionalism and definitely recommend a visit to them for any medical emergencies your pets may encounter.
