Our animal emergency hospital is located within minutes of Glendale, Peoria, Mesa, Scottsdale, and Tempe. VEG Phoenix is located on E. Camelback Rd., between N 21st St. and N 22nd St.

Parking for our Phoenix emergency vet clinic is located near our front door and includes an accessible parking space, with additional parking around back.

If you need assistance getting your pet into the hospital, call ahead—one of our VEGgies will meet you at the door. Your pet will receive urgent vet care and you never have to leave their side.

If you’re a Good Samaritan who found a stray, the best place to bring them is to your local GP veterinarian, a shelter, or rehabilitation center. If these options are not available, we can scan for a microchip to help you locate an owner. Our mission is helping people and their pets when they need us most, and that includes strays! If the stray you found needs emergency care, we’re here to help.

Michigan State University; Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine; Internship in Phoenix

Dr. Petras has been practicing emergency medicine in Arizona for years, earning leadership roles in Gilbert and Yuma. Her special interests are: soft tissue surgery, stabilization of the critical patient, anaphylaxis, and infectious disease. She has published two papers on anaphylaxis, and has presented at IVECCS. In her free time, she’s hiking with her two crazy Cattle Dogs!
