Why Emergency Medicine:

I love the chaos and the thrill of never knowing what’s coming in the door. The thrill of stabilizing an animal that is crashing in front of you, and having it leave tail wagging with ecstatic owners is what keeps me going.

Get To Know Me

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working:

Riding my horse! He is my sanity and the coolest dude.

What has been the most rewarding part of your career:

That’s a hard one to answer…honestly what COVID -and the lack of clients in the building and seeing them face to face- made me realize is the gratitude from an owner when the case has a happy ending is what fulfills me day to day. I actually love helping people, and this job some days is more helping and supporting an animal’s owner than the patient themselves.

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is:

Don’t forget your “why” and your purpose through the chaos of it all. And if you’re overwhelmed, take a step back and listen to that little warning voice inside your head that you need a break. We all push ourselves too hard in this profession.
