Why Emergency Medicine?
Emergency Medicine is always exciting! I love being there when people and their pets need it most. I love not knowing what will come through the door, and being the one to help animals when their primary doctors are not available. Emergency medicine always keeps me on my toes – I’m constantly learning and growing as a doctor. It’s so much fun and so incredibly rewarding!
Dr. Sterk joined VEG in 2018 and is a Regional Medical Director in the NY/NJ region. She is a true VEG cheerleader, and loves to do things the “VEG way” – always keeping people with their pets. She is passionate about client communication and loves to teach.
Outside of work, Dr. Sterk loves to spend time with her family and friends, and will almost always been seen followed by her perfect dachshund mix, Schnitzel. Additionally, she has two cats Delaware and California, named after the states they came from.
