Originally from Illinois, Dr. Kelley grew up in North Florida and started his career in animal care as a scuba diver, then sea lion and dolphin trainer in high school! He worked in the zoo/wildlife/exotics department at vet school, and was a zoo vet in California shortly after graduating. Dr. Kelley moved back to Florida to raise a family and discovered a love for emergency medicine. Special interests: Soft tissue surgery, exotic animal medicine, and husbandry. As part of the veterinary community in the Tampa Bay area for almost 20 years, he has grown his love of ER into hospital leadership and doctor development, and encourages learning and growth in his team and colleagues.
